TROY — Everybody Fitness held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate their third anniversary on Thursday afternoon.
The facility is located in Sherwood Shopping Center at 962 N. Market St., Troy, and is open every day, 24 hours.
Everybody Fitness Manager Camie Hawkins noted the importance of Everybody Fitness being family-oriented and how it impacts the community.
“It is very family-oriented, everyone is very respectful and all about helping each other out,” said Hawkins. “We help each member that we bring in, whether that’s learning how to train, stretch properly, how to lift and understand the machines and doing it safely.”
The Troy facility has a total of six employees who keep the gym running, including a sales representative; two childcare providers, for the morning and evening; and two cleaners, one during weekdays and one for weekends.
They offer a number of products and services, including childcare; unlimited tanning; free group classes, such as Zumba, yoga, Pilates, TRX, and more; free training nutritional guidance; and free guest passes.
“Giving people the knowledge and the general support of starting their fitness lifestyle is what we’re here for,” said Hawkins.
Everybody Fitness offers a 36-month term for a platinum membership of $29 a month, and $24 a month for a Gold membership.
“My focus is to get involved in the community, just trying to get our feet moving, we want to be a part of the community,” said Hawkins.
After the ribbon-cutting, Everybody Fitness owner Wesley Harrell thanked everybody for coming out.
“We are open 24/7 because we really do want to make it as convenient as possible,” said Harrell.
The gym says the community can expect it to have everything available to them 24 hours a day, as well as friendliness, cleanliness, and a facility that feels safe. Everybody Fitness allows members to start working out as early as 12 years old, accompanied by an adult, and 16 years old without an adult.
