FFA students compete in evaluations
CASSTOWN — The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter recently competed in the District 5 Evaluations of the Ohio FFA Association held virtually. Several members of the chapter dedicated numerous hours to developing and growing their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) records to prepare their applications for awards and degrees.

YMCA to host indoor triathlon
TROY — The Miami County YMCA Robinson Branch will be holding an indoor triathlon consisting of swimming, bicycling and running/jogging on a treadmill on March 20. There will be five heats of four people. The first heat starts at 9 a.m. and the last heat starts at 11:30 a.m. This event is open for member and non-member registration. Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to register early.

TROY — Hayner’s “Jazz in March” concert is an annual series that celebrates jazz and is hosted by Keigo Hirakawa.
Heating assistance available through HEAP
MIAMI COUNTY — The Ohio Development Services Agency and Miami County Community Action Council (CAC) want to let Ohioans know that assistance is available to help with their heating bills this winter. The Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program started November 1 and helps income-eligible Ohioans pay their heating bills and can assist with fuel tank placement, fuel tank testing, and furnace repair. The program will be open until March 31, 2021.
