New Hayner classes start on Jan. 2
TROY — The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is pleased to announce that 2024 classes will begin Saturday, Jan. 2. The Hayner Center and the instructors are excited to begin a new season of classes. January - June class topics include painting, drawing, Ukrainian style eggs, knitting, jewelry making, card making, pottery, ballroom dance, round dance, yoga, genealogy, computer technology and music for seniors. The Hayner Center also offers several classes just for kids, including Home School Art and Summer Art Camp.

City receives Auditor of State Award With Distinction
TROY — The city of Troy and Mayor Robin Oda are proud to congratulate City Auditor John Frigge and his team for receiving the Ohio Auditor of State’s Award with Distinction. Joseph Braden, west regional liaison from the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office, presented the award at the Monday, Dec. 18 Troy City Council meeting. Of the nearly 6,000 entities audited by the State, under 4 percent received this award this year.
Troy City Skatepark Unite receives Troy Foundation grant
TROY — Troy City Skatepark Unite has received a grant for $17,700 from the Troy Foundation for planning and design work to create a new community skatepark at Joe Reardon Skatepark on North Ridge Avenue.
