PLEASANT HILL—The Oakes-Beitman Memorial Library in Pleasant Hill announced the following upcoming events.

Crafting Wonders: Explore the Art of paper quilling

Discover the techniques and creative possibilities of paper quilling on Monday, June 24 at 6 p.m. Easily transform simple strips of paper into stunning works of art, perfect for decorating cards, gifts, and more. All supplies are provided. An additional session is planned for Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Attend one session or both. There is no registration needed for this event.

Photography basics

Guests can learn basic photography techniques on Tuesday, June 25 at 2 p.m. Feel free to bring your phone camera or other small photography equipment. No registration is needed for this program for teens and adults.

Caffeinated Conversations: Book club at the Exchange

Grab a drink at The Local and meet for a book club on Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at the Exchange located at 201 W. High St.

This seasonal book club will be discussing Nightingale by Kristin Hannah at the first meeting. Chat with others about the book club suggested reading. No registration is needed for this outdoor event. Additional sessions planned for summer include The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides on July 25, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab on Aug. 15.
