TROY — Since she was 10 years old, Angela Replogle knew she wanted to work with children.

On Friday, Aug. 30, Anglela’s Circle of Friends Child Care and Learning Center celebrated its 25th anniversary of serving children in Troy and Tipp City.

“This was a dream of mine when I was younger,” she said. “Throughout college I worked at different childcare centers and had the opportunity to build one.”

Replogle’s husband Bart designed and built the facility, in south Troy. Her parents also supported and are still involved with the center since it opened.

Replogle, who also spends time at her new storage facility in Tipp City is proud of the personal attention her childcare facility provides.

“Some childcare centers are chains or franchises and we’re not. We are hands-on with the day in day out operation,” she said.

This hands-on approach that has kept her facility in business all these years, and Replogle says the rewards are shown in the children’s growth and development.

“Watching children grow, seeing their strengths they didn’t have when they came here. That’s probably the best thing is just watching the kiddos grow up and to see how it’s come around full circle and now they are having children and bringing them here,” she said.

The facility is open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and takes newborns to 12-year-olds. They also work closely with Troy and Tipp City schools.

“We provide bus transportation to Tipp City Schools,” she said. “The parents bring them here in the morning and we give them breakfast, and then we have our little bus drive them to school, and then we go pick them up in the afternoon, give them a snack and their parents pick them up in the afternoon.”

For children attending Troy City Schools, a bus comes to pick up the students from the facility in the morning.

“We have been told by the Troy and Tipp kindergarten teachers that the children that come in from here are very prepared for kindergarten,” Replogle said. “It’s the best feedback we can possibly get when we’re sending the kids to the public school system.”

Replogle said all the teachers at the childcare center are certified, and the facility has to go through yearly inspections.

“Our inspector loves us, she’s always giving us praise for how we are doing,” she said.

Replogle said while running the daycare center can have its challenges like any business she has been very blessed with the operations over the last 25 years.

“I just feel very grateful,” she said. “I’ve gotten to know so many wonderful people in the community and just through being here, and so many people that I wouldn’t have met if they didn’t bring their kids here. So it’s just been a really good experience.”
