CASSTOWN — Two Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter members were named National Finalists in the National FFA Proficiency Award Program.

Braden Zekas is in the top four in Agricultural Processing for his job placement at Caven’s Meats, and Fletcher Harris is in the top four in Turf Grass Management for his job placement at Ingle Lawn Services.

Each will conduct a virtual interview and be recognized on stage at the National FFA Convention where the national winners will be announced. To qualify for this award, both won their state award.

Additional students earning high accolades at the recent National FFA Evaluation were Wyatt Black in Agriculture Repair and Maintenance Placement and Haley Barnes in Specialty Crop, both earning a gold rating.
