Spirit Emergency Medical Services weekly log

Sept. 15-21

According to Brian K. Hathaway, Spirit EMS president/CEO, reported there were seven emergency medical dispatches from Sept. 15-21, an increase of three compared to the previous week.

All calls originated from the Houston EMS district, which includes Loramie and Washington Townships as well as the village of Lockington excluding the village of Russia.

In all, four patients were transported from the scene. Three patients refused transport after an evaluation by EMS personnel. Russia Fire first responders assisted in one scene, while Shelby County deputies assisted in two separate scenes. All but one of the responses were made from the Spirit EMS satellite station located at 5125 Russia-Houston Road, Houston. In one instance, the ambulance was on another call and responded from the hospital.

Among the transported patients, one was taken to Wilson Health in Sidney, one to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, and two were taken to Kettering Health Troy.

Spirit EMS responded to 100% of its dispatched calls.
