PIQUA — Mainstreet Piqua’s annual Harvest Days fall celebration is set to return to the downtown on Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon to 6 p.m.

Mainstreet Piqua will host the free, one-day event which brings together all things fall, along with local food favorites, live music and lots of activities. The fall event will offer pumpkin painting, craft vendors, kids’ activities, a retail open house, food trucks and more, said a Mainstreet Piqua press release.

“We are looking forward to a family-friendly fall festival in downtown Piqua, offering a variety of fun for everyone,” said Mainstreet Piqua’s Executive Director Staci Roth.

The live entertainment will include The Nautical Theme, from noon to 2 p.m.; Jersey Joe, from 2 to 4 p.m.; and Steven “Crash” Worley, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event will be held in the 300 and 400 blocks of Main Street with the live entertainment set up on a small stage in front of the former The Citizens National Bank at 401 N. Main St., Roth said.

Visitors will receive a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch if they bring a non-perishable food donation to the Bethany Center or if they show a receipt dated Oct. 12, from a downtown business.

Kids’ activities will include pumpkin painting at the Piqua Kiwanis booth, a Pokémon scavenger hunt and craft at the Piqua Public Library booth, a corn pit, and pumpkin bowling. Other kids’ activities include Touch-a-Truck with the Piqua Police Department, Piqua Fire Department, and Piqua Public Works, and face painting from noon to 3 p.m. at Iron Broads Tattoo Studio.

Local vendors will be set up along Main Street to sell merchandise. Visitors will be able to find anything from unique-shaped gourds to cornhole bags, said the release. Many of the downtown retailers will also be open during the event.

“Come hungry to Harvest Days, as there will be plenty of food options both inside your favorite downtown establishments and outside with a variety of food trucks,” said the release.

Mainstreet Piqua thanks this year’s Harvest Days sponsors, including Mutual Federal, Apex Aluminum Die Casting Co. Inc., Miami Valley Steel Inc., and Hartzell Industries.
