TROY — The Troy volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with a 23-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-19 win over Piqua Thursday in MVL action to close the regular season.

Sophie Michalos led Troy with 17 kills.

Reagan Duff had eight kills, Sydney Astor and Noel Baker had seven kills and Julia Kirner had seven kills, 15 assists and served six aces.

Kayla Huber had 23 assists, Livia Luciano served five aces and had 17 digs, Cema Rajab served five aces and had nine digs and Lauren Koesters had 13 digs.

Miami East 3,

Covington 0

CASSTOWN — The Miami East volleyball team handed Covington its first TRC loss with a 25-19, 25-23, 25-20 win.

Covington won the TRC title with a 13-1 record, while East finished 12-2 in the conference.

For East, Khalia Lawrence had 13 kills and four blocks, Whitni Enis had 11 kills and 12 digs and Jaycee Roeth had nine kills.

Kylie Gentis had 19 assists and nine digs and Jersey Cutlip had 17 assistss and five aces.

Emma Rust had 18 digs and Kamryn Apple added 15 digs.

For Covington, Hollan Koffer had 11 kills and 10 digs and Addison Ventura had seven kills, 11 assists, 14 digs and three aces.

Taylor Kirker had 15 assists and nine digs, Ramse Vanderhorst led the defense with 23 digs and Nell Rogers added 13 digs.

TROY — The Troy Christian volleyball team outlasted Bethel 26-28, 20-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-4 Thursday in TRC action.

For Troy Christian, Chloe Simmons had 17 kills and 14 digs and Maddie Fourman had 15 kills, three aces and eight digs.

Taylor Bechtol had 35 assists and 14 digs, Ella Mathews served three aces, Olivia Simmons had 20 digs, Reign Wilkins had 15 digs and Jenna Borton recorded seven blocks.

Riverside 1

DEGRAFF — The Milton-Union volleyball team made a long bus ride pay off with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 26-24 win Thursday in TRC action.

Jenna Brumbaugh had 16 kills and 24 digs sand Mylee Jones had 17 kills, 14 assists and 20 digs.

Sophie Layman had five blocks and 10 digs, Raylin Combs had 11 kills, Marley Reed had 25 assists and 20 digs, Bella Brazina had 14 digs and Ava Forrest added 10 digs.

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic volleyball team got a 25-10, 25-13, 25-18 win Thursday in TRC action.

Kailee Rank had 15 kills and Layla Platfoot had five kills and three blocks.

Madison Rank had 22 assists and three aces, Lilly Graham had three aces and six digs and Miley Heffelfinger served three aces.

ANNA — The Miami East girls soccer team won a close game on the road Thursday.

Haley Barnes scored the game’s only goal off an assist from Karis Miller.

Addyson Long had six saves in goal.

GREENVILLE — The Tippecanoe boys soccer team wrapped up the MVL title with a win on the road Thursday.

Tipp finished 8-0-1 in the MVL and Vandalia-Butler was second, going 7-0-2.

Owen Baileys had two goals and one assist and Landon Haas and Dominic Mendiola each had one goal and two assists.

Xavier Allen, Eli Kettel, Carson Mayer, Jace Peterson, Cameron Smith and Colin Turner had one goal each.

Maddox Robinson had two assists and Carter Coble had one assist.

Jace Sawyer had the shutout in goal.

Bethel 2,

Bellbrook 1

BRANDT — The Bethel boys soccer team set a school record with 15 regular season wins, finishing 15-2-0 in the regular season.

Reynaldo Rincon headed David Kasimov’s corner kick into the goal with 11:00 remaining for the game-winner for the Bees.

Bellbrook had scored a goal early and Phil Dix had tied the game in the second half, off a pass from Rincon.

Reed Dix had four saves in goal.

Newton 1,

TC North 1

LEWISBURG — The Newton and Tri-County North boys soccer teams played to a 1-1 tie Thursday night.

Carson Resides scored the Newton goal and Sawyer Renner had 12 saves in goal for the Indians.
