Oct. 6-12

According to Brian K. Hathaway, Spirit EMS president/CEO, there were three emergency medical dispatches from Oct. 6-12, which is one less than the week prior.

All calls originated from the Houston EMS district, which includes Loramie and Washington Townships and the village of Lockington excluding the village of Russia.

Two of the three patients were transported from the scene to the hospital. One patient refused transport after an evaluation by EMS personnel.

The two transported patients were taken to Wilson Health in Sidney and the other to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

Spirit EMS responded to 100% of its dispatched calls for the week.

Sept. 29-Oct. 5

According to Brian K. Hathaway, Spirit EMS president/CEO, there were four emergency medical dispatches from Sept. 29-Oct. 5, which is two more than the previous week.

All calls originated from the Houston EMS district, which includes Loramie and Washington Townships and the village of Lockington excluding the village of Russia.

In three of the cases, the patients were transported from the scene to the hospital. Russia Fire first responders and Shelby County deputies assisted Spirit EMS at the scene of an injury crash. EMS crews were also on standby at a structure fire to which Houston, Lockington, Russia, and Sidney fire departments responded and successfully extinguished. There were no injuries. All the responses were initiated from the Spirit EMS satellite station located at 5125 Russia-Houston Road, Houston.

Of those transported, two were transported to Wilson Health in Sidney and one to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
