PIQUA — The Piqua girls soccer team advanced in D-III sectional action Thursday at Wertz Stadium, with a 5-1 win over Bellefontaine.
Piqua will play at Bellbrook at 7 p.m. Monday in a district semifinal.
After Belefontaine took an early 1-0 lead, it took just 20 seconds for Kamryn Mikolajewski to answer with the tying goal for the Indians.
Mikolajewski had a quick hat trick, scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes.
Alexis Burroughs added a goal late in first half and Miranda Sweetman scored a second half goal for the final margin.

TIPP CITY — It only took Tippecanoe girls soccer one half at Tipp City Park Thursday to advance in D-III sectional action.
The Red Devills will play at Vandalia-Butler at 7 p.m. Monday in a district semifinal.

Milton-Union will play at Miami East at 7 p.m. Monday in a district semifinal.
Chloe Crabtree had the game’s only goal on an assist from Rayann Lowe.
Kenzie Shortridge had the shutout in goal.

URBANA — The Miami East girls soccer team opened sectional play by winning a thriller.
The Vikings will host Milton-Union in a district semifinal at 7 p.m. Monday.
Katie Paulus and Karis Miller had the Viking goals.

BRANDT — The Bethel girls soccer team cruised to a win in its sectional opener Thursday.
Bethel will play at Alter in a D-IV district semifinal Monday.

CAMDEN — The Lehman Catholic girls soccer team got a win on the road in its sectional tournament opener Thursday
The Cavaliers will at Botkins in a D-V district semifinal at 7 p.m. Monday.
Kaelynn Walker and Emi Wray scored the Lehman goals, while Melanie Karn dished out both assists.
Callie Giguerre had five saves in goal.
