FAIRBORN — The Tippecanoe volleyball team improved to 22-1 with a 25-6, 25-8, 25-7 win over West Carrollton Saturday in Fairborn D-III sectional action.

The Red Devils will play Greenville at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a district semifinal.

“We controlled the ball from the start, showing only three errors per set,” Tippecanoe coach Howard Garcia said. “Net play was very strong, as well as our serves. Loved that the team stayed focused during the entire match, with many players making contributions. Good start to tournament play.”

Savannah Clawson had nine kills, four aces and 10 digs and Emily Aselage had eight kills and 10 digs.

Lexi Luginbuhl and Livia Hiser had two blocks each, with Jenna Krimm and Faith Siefring serving four aces each and Ava Jones adding three.

Krimm dished out 18 assists and Siefring had 10 digs.

C-J 3,

Piqua 1

XENIA — The Piqua volleyball team lost 25-16, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18 in Xenia D-III sectional action Saturday.

The Indians finish the season with an 8-15 record.

D-IV

TROY — The Bethel volleyball team cruised to a 25-3, 25-7, 25-6 win in Troy D-IV sectional action.

The Bees, 13-10, will play top seed Kenton Ridge at 5:30 p.m Wednesday in district semifinal.

Layla Moore had 10 kills, Annabelle Adams had 10 assists and seven aces and Kyra Clawson had nine assists and seven aces.

D-V

Miami East 3,

Preble Shawnee 0

BROOKVILLE —The Miami East volleyball team cruised to a 25-22, 25-10, 25-11 win in Brookville D-V sectional action Saturday.

The Vikings, 17-6, will play West Liberty-Salem in a district semifinal at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Milton-Union o

BROOKVILLE — The Milton-Union volleyball team lost 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 in a Brookville D-V sectional matchup.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a 10-13 record.

Jenna Brumbaugh had 12 kills and nine digs and Raylin Combs had eight kills and three blocks.

Mylee Jones had seven kills, 15 assists and seven digs, Marley Reed had 11 assists and 10 digs and Sophie Layman served four aces.

D-VII

Covington 3,

Bradford 0

PLEASANT HILL — The Covington volleyball team opened Newton D-VII sectional play with a 25-7, 25-16, 25-4 win.

The Buccs, 18-5, will play Lehman Catholic in a district semifinal at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Bradford closes the season with a 4-19 record.

PLEASANT HILL — The Lehman Catholic volleyball team rallied for a 25-27, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 17-15 win in Newton D-VII action.

The Cavaliers, 13-10, will play Covington at 7 p.m. Thursday in a district semifinal.

TROTWOOD — The Newton volleyball team opened sectional play with a 25-14, 25-15, 25-22t win in Trotwood D-VII action.

The Indians, 16-7, will play Dayton Jefferson at 5 p.m. Wednesday in a district semifinal.

Sienna Montgomery had 22 kills and Ava Rapp had 10 kills and 12 digs.

Makenna Kesling had 20 assists and 10 digs and Aubrey Stetzel had 11 assists, four aces and seven digs.

Estie Rapp added eight digs.
