TROY — During their meeting on Thursday, Oct. 17, the Miami County Commissioners amended an appointment for water systems improvements and acknowledged a certified list of criminal prosecutions pursued to final conviction and sentence.

The commissioners agreed to amend a resolution authorizing the apportionment of cost and tentative assessments for improvements to a water supply system in the West Charleston area properties of Bethel Township, as part of a County Water Supply System, to be heard by the Board on Nov. 14, at 1:35 p.m. at the Miami County Commissioner’s Hearing Room and not on Oct. 29, as previously approved.

Josh Lococo, assistant sanitary engineer, said the wrong dates were previously published.

Next, the commissioners acknowledged receipt of the certified statement from the Miami County Prosecuting Attorney, according to section 309.16 of the Ohio Revised Code.

According to the agenda, the statement shall specify the number of criminal prosecutions pursued to final conviction and sentence under his official care during the preceding year. In a statement, the prosecuting attorney shall name the parties to each prosecution, the amount of fines and costs assessed in each case, the number of recognizances forfeited, and the amount of money collected in each case. On Oct. 15, Prosecuting Attorney Paul W. Watkins filed a certified statement with the board of Miami County Commissioners.

Lastly, the commissioners authorized an employment verification for Tracy A. Mount to serve as a new full-time legal specialist in the Department of Job and Family Services at a pay rate of $16.20, beginning on Oct. 21.
