American Legion offering meal

PIQUA — American Legion in Piqua is having a chicken dinner on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 5-7 p.m. Meal includes four piece chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, roll and dessert. Cost is $9.

Tri-County board to meet

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services will meet Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 6:45 p.m. in the Helmlinger Board Room at the Board office at 1100 Wayne Street, Suite 4000, Troy. The Finance Committee will meet at the same location beginning at 6 p.m.

Miami County EMA to hold meeting

MIAMI COUNTY — Miami County is currently in the process of updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Hazard Mitigation Plan addresses threats from potential hazards and identifies possible strategies and projects to reduce the impacts, protect people and property, and reduce or eliminate long-term risk. It is necessary to update the plan every five years so that the county and participating communities remain eligible for pre-disaster and post-disaster mitigation grant programs.

Community input is critical to this plan’s success and the FEMA approval process. Community members are invited to participate in the planning process at the following meeting. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Hobart Center for County Government, 510 W. Water St. in Troy, Basement Room 29
