PIQUA – Firefighters from Piqua and Covington responded to a reported house fire around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
First units on the scene reported smoke coming from the single-family wood-frame home and that everyone had evacuated the residence.
The first was quickly brought under control with the major damage being to the rear of the home.
A Piqua Fire Department investigator was called to the scene as they work to determine a cause of the blaze.
There were no injuries reported. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist one family.
Fire units cleared the scene shortly after 10 p.m.
