CENTERVILLE — Three Miami County wrestlers advanced on to the Kettering D-I district tournament at the Centerville sectional Saturday.

Troy’s Nathan Brewster (138) finished third to advance.

Brewster went 4-1 with four pins.

For Piqua, Max Kaye (132) and Andru Hollopeter (144) both advanced.

Hollopeter won his weight class, going 4-0 with three pins.

Kaye finished second, going 3-1 with two tech falls and a major decision.

The district meet is Friday and Saturday at Trent Arena.

GRAHAM D-II

Milton-Union finished second as a team and had eight wrestlers advance on to the district tournament.

Winning was Nicholas Devlin (132).

Finishing third were Nick Butler (106), Andrew Collins (126) and Nathan Barker (150).

Taking fourth were Payton Mayfield (120), Zach Avery (138), Ian Coffey (165) and Cabit Fetters (175).

Tippecanoe advanced six wrestlers to district.

Taking third were Payton Bey (132) and Alex Shellhammer (175).

Finishing fourth were Riley Hull (106), Riley Nicholls (126), Colin Hanrahan (150) and Cael Liette (157).

The district meet is Friday and Saturday at Wilmington.

COVINGTON D-III

Covington won the team title and advanced nine wrestlers to district, while Troy Christian advanced all six wrestlers on to the district meet.

Winning for Covington were Jericho Quinter (113), Michael Hagen (120) and Chase Vanderhorst (126).

Taking second were Carson Taylor (106), Connor Sindelir (157) and Jensen Wagoner (190).

Jackson Shiverdecker (138) finished third and taking fourth were Aveyen Meek (144) and Scott Blumenstock (285).

Troy Christian finished third as a team, with five champions and a runnerup.

Winning for the Eagles were Kyle Schroer (106), Jason Shaffer (132), Troy Kennedy (138), Connor Havill (175) and Lee Burkett (190).

Finishing second was David Stumpff (150).

The district meet is Friday and Saturday at Hobart Arena.

LEHMAN D-III

Miami East finished third in the team standings and advanced nine wrestlers on to the district meet.

Winning were Cooper Shore (113), Max Shore (126) and David Davis (157).

Taking second were Layton Hughes (138), Chance Rust (144), Daniel Martin (150) and Drake Bennett (190).

Taking third was Hunter Randall (165) and finishing fourth was Aaron Mills (132).

Lehman Catholic’s John Edwards (190) advanced, finishing third.

The district meet is Friday and Saturday at Hobart Arena.
