Johnston Farm renovations nearing completion

Site Director Andy Hite examines the new stair rail and balusters, part of a two-year renovation project at the John Johnston Farm & Indian Agency in Piqua. The project is aimed at returning the Johnston home to the way it was when it was built in 1815, including period-authentic wallpaper and floor coverings. In many cases, the original woodwork was located, restored, and installed exactly as it was in the early 1800s. The project is scheduled for completion this spring with a grand opening event to be held at the farm on June 18
