AES Ohio to undergo system upgrade

DAYTON — AES Ohio, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation, is investing in new digital solutions to better serve its customers. Beginning Aug. 28, they will be undergoing a system upgrade to replace a 25-year-old customer system with new technology. This will serve as a foundation for improving and simplifying the customer experience.

“For over 110 years, you have trusted us to deliver reliable energy services, our commitment has always been to power lives seamlessly,” says Tom Raga, president of AES Ohio. “We are making everything from payments to account management more intuitive and straightforward.”

After the upgrade, customers will notice:

• More flexible and user-friendly payments and account management.

• New account numbers on a redesigned bill.

• More options to start and stop service.

With any system upgrade, change is not easy, and AES is committed to helping customers stay informed and engaged throughout this process. That’s why they’ve dedicated additional resources and customer care agents to help answer any questions have along the way.

During the transition, the system will have limited operations from Aug. 28 beginning at 5 p.m. until September 4 at 9 a.m. Online and phone payment options will be unavailable. Outage reporting will remain available both online at aes-ohio.com/outages and by calling 877-4OUTAGE (877-468-8243).
