In a press release, Executive Director Jeanne Ward and the APAC team invites the community back for a brand-new line-up of performances, offering something for everyone to enjoy at the APAC this season.

The 2024–2025 season

Last year, in its third season, the APAC presented 16 performances, welcoming over 13,000 performing arts enthusiasts to enjoy a wide array of performances in its state-of-the-art venue in Troy, Ohio. This 2024-2025 season promises even more exciting performances, with talented artists from near and far, to carry on the mission of Creating Community in the Miami Valley.

Fall 2024

The APAC kicks off its 2024‒2025 season on Saturday, Sept. 21, with a one-of-a-kind performance that plunges patrons into the heart of The Beatles. BritBeat stands as the world’s top Immersive Beatles Experience, blending a live concert performance of the timeless song catalog of The Beatles with visually captivating and immersive video imagery to excite the senses. This performance is more than a concert — it’s a transformative encounter with the timeless legacy of The Beatles, and it’s the perfect way to kick-off a brand-new season at the APAC!

On Sunday, Oct. 6, the entire family is invited to throw on their 4D glasses and prepare to be blown away, as the impossible becomes possible and the improbable happens right on the APAC stage with entertainer Mark Nizer, whose presence is in high demand in venues across the country, including The Improv, The Comedy Store, and Walt Disney World. Described as “nothing less than brilliant” by Performance Magazine, Nizer’s outrageous comedy antics, expertly crafted juggling, and popping color-filled laser experience are sure to offer an afternoon of fun for all ages with Mark Nizer 4D Theatre.

October also brings a visit with beloved TV icon Tony Danza. The lovable TV dad from the favorite sitcom “Who’s The Boss” and his four-piece band regularly entertain audiences around the country with their hit live show, Tony Danza: Standards & Stories. The New York Times raves “Tony’s a live wire who tap-dances, plays the ukulele, tells stories and radiates irresistible charm. He exudes the kind of charisma that can’t be taught!” On Oct. 12, Tony Danza comes to the APAC to perform a selection of his favorite standards from the Great American Songbook, while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music.

Fall winds down at the APAC on Nov. 16, when Robert Neary creates a one-of-a-kind tribute to singer/songwriter Neil Diamond. With half a million fans worldwide, and counting, and thousands of outstanding reviews, “So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience” sells out venues across the country and has been hailed as the most authentic and professional tribute to Neil Diamond. From the moment Neary struts on stage wearing the trademark black, gray, and silver sequined jacket, concert-goers will swear they are seeing and hearing the master himself in this truly quintessential Neil Diamond Concert Experience.

Holiday season 2024

In December, the APAC celebrates the Christmas season with two delightful holiday performances.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, the APAC welcomes The Tenors from Canada to bring the beauty of the season to the stage in a festive Christmas concert. This foursome has been thrilling audiences around the world with their powerful songs, outstanding harmonies, and undeniable charm. Their distinct sounds blend together to deliver classical music, contemporary pop, classic rock, folk, and inspired self-penned original songs. The Tenors make a stop at the APAC to celebrate the Christmas season in Troy this December.

Then, on Sunday, Dec. 15, the entire family is in for a treat as Christmas in the Air brings a first-class Broadway-style song and dance variety program to the APAC, wrapped in a warm, feel-good holiday storyline told by two of Santa’s favorite elves. The afternoon features a cast of Rand Productions’ awe-inspiring synchronized high-kicking dancers, known as the Tinsel-toes, and a world-class supporting cast of singers, actors, and entertainers. In addition to creative costuming, captivating choreography, and amusing audience participation segments, this performance is a first-class “family snow globe come to life” experience, with a very special appearance by none other than Santa himself!

Winter 2025

On Jan11, American singer and actor Scott Moreau brings his “beautiful, rich, velvety voice to channel the deep, chocolate-y sound” of Johnny Cash. Moreau not only delivers all the musical hits of Johnny Cash, but he is able to “project Cash’s physicality and mannerisms and to inhabit his psyche.” Get ready to fall into the “Burnin’ Ring of Fire” when Moreau brings his Ultimate Johnny Cash to the APAC Stage in his program entitled Walkin’ the Line.

February kicks off with the return of a cappella group Naturally 7, although “a cappella” so vastly underplays what they do that they had to coin the phrase “Vocal Play.” This dynamic group has been hosted by late-night comedian and “Carpool Karaoke” collaborator James Corden on “The World’s Best,” and musical maestro Quincy Jones has declared that “Naturally 7 is the future of vocal music!” Their visit to the APAC during the 2022-2023 season was such a huge hit that they are back on Sunday, Feb. 2, for a special command performance not to be missed!

Combining breathtaking visuals with his captivating style on stage, illusionist Vitaly’s An Evening of Wonders is an interactive theatrical experience that takes you on an unbelievable magical journey. Along the way, Vitaly blends art and illusion to illustrate the story of his transformation from a boy with a dream to a man with a vision — the vision of a world where the rules of reality do not exist. Paintings spring to life, photographs become mini-movies, and audience members see their faces vanish from their own driver’s licenses when Vitaly comes to the APAC on February 15!

On Feb. 22, Love Is in the Air as the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra delivers a pops concert rich with music from the ages that will stir the enticing emotion of love inside all of us. As a community-based, non-profit organization, the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra brings together accomplished and dedicated musicians to entertain, enrich, and inspire the Miami Valley community. Bring that special someone, your loved ones, and those you just love spending time with to enjoy a beautiful concert with the MVSO.

Then, on March 1, Diamond Rio delivers decades of unwavering commitment to country music! Originating as the Tennessee River Boys in the 80s, this talented group of dedicated musicians evolved into Diamond Rio in 1989. The following year, they signed with Arista Nashville, and in 1991, with the release of “Meet in The Middle,” Diamond Rio became the first country music group in history to reach No. 1 with a debut single. Since then, Diamond Rio has sold more than 6.8 million albums, surpassed over one billion global streams, charted 20 Top-10 singles, 15 Top-5 singles, and seven No. 1 singles. This dynamic group lights up the stage at the APAC this March!

The Beat Goes On on March 8 as Lisa McClowry pays tribute to the Goddess of Pop! One of the iconic divas of the 20th century who parlayed her music stardom into success on movie screens and TV, Cher is a living legend. And now, she is uncannily and perfectly captured in “The Beat Goes On” by Legends in Concert artist/singer/actress Lisa McClowry. Lisa has every aspect of playing Cher down pat: the singing and speaking voice, the walk, the talk, the Bob Mackie-styled costumes, the makeup, the mannerisms, and, of course, the music. McClowry dazzles with dynamic dialogue, humor, seriously fun audience participation, eight costume changes, video projections with amazing visuals and animations, and Cher’s hits spanning from the 60s to today.

Spring 2025

Spring brings shades of fresh new colors along with Shades of Bublé: A Three-Man Tribute to Michael Bublé. The world-class tribute act honors, but doesn’t imitate, the sophistication, retro style, and high-energy fun that Bublé himself brings to his concerts, while engaging diehard fans with thrilling new three-part vocal arrangements. The performance combines big-band standards from the jazz era and classic hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as Billboard chart-toppers from today, in a high-energy show that generates standing ovations from sold-out crowds. This trio brings their exciting harmonies, smooth choreography, and charming, good looks to the APAC on March 22.

On Saturday, April 5, Christian rock band Newsboys soars full speed ahead with a high-energy performance overflowing with inspiration. Newsboys is one of the biggest bands in Christian music history, having sold more than 10 million units across 23 recordings and garnering boundless awards, including four GRAMMY®️ nominations, two American Music Award nominations, and multiple Dove Awards. With signature songs like “We Believe,” “Born Again” and the unstoppable mega hit “God’s Not Dead”—which birthed a film franchise of the same name—Newsboys have continued to collect career-defining accolades for over three decades.

Then, on Palm Sunday, April 15, The Bach Society of Dayton delivers a very special choral presentation of Handel’s Messiah. While often performed around the Christmas season, George Frideric Handel’s Messiah was originally introduced in April 1742 as an Easter offering. This season, The Bach Society of Dayton joins the APAC for a very special presentation of this glorious choral work. Since 2002, the Bach Society of Dayton has been bringing awe-inspiring choral music to the Dayton region, and the APAC is thrilled that they will be bringing Handel’s Messiah to the APAC this Easter season. Hallelujah!

Finally, “You Can Go Your Own Way” on Saturday, May 17, along as you end up at the APAC for Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show. Since their inception, Rumours have traveled across North America delivering a meticulously crafted performance that spares no detail. This talented tribute band recreates the legendary persona of Fleetwood Mac in all their youthful glory from 1975-1987. The Arbogast Performing Arts Center, a 39,000-square-foot non-profit performing arts venue located in Troy, Ohio, opened in October 2021. The creation of the APAC was a vision of Troy Christian Schools and was made possible with a significant gift of $2 million from longtime Troy community residents and supporters, Dave and Linda Arbogast. The goal of the APAC is to bring added value to the greater Miami Valley area, including regional schools and community organizations, with enhanced programs in performing and visual arts. In its inaugural 2021-2022 Season, the APAC presented nine professional performances and welcomed over 6,500 attendees to its brand-new theater. Additionally, the APAC welcomed area school performances and events and offered its space in rental agreements to surrounding community organizations for their own private meetings and events. This dynamic venue will continue to provide numerous opportunities for the greater Miami Valley region to learn, gather, perform, and enjoy each other’s company and community. The enduring impact that this performing arts center will bring to the Greater Miami community and its residents will be felt in the educational opportunities, new forms of creative expression, positive economic benefits, and enhanced community pride it offers. The cultural enrichment promoted through a facility like the APAC, one dedicated to artistic pursuits, generates a lifetime of far-reaching benefits to the community and to the people it serves.
