VERSAILLES — A 14-year-old male from Bradford lost his life as a result of a dirt bike crash on Saturday morning.

Dispatch received a call on Saturday, Aug. 24, at approximately 11:57 a.m., on a report of a single vehicle dirt bike crash in the 9100 block of state Route 121 in Versailles.

The preliminary investigation revealed a green Kawasaki 250x was operated by Wyatt Reese, who was traveling north in the side ditch parallel with state Route 121. Wyatt lost control and struck a utility pole. After the collision he was ejected from the motorcycle. Wyatt was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

As a result of the injuries sustained, Wyatt succumb to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

Deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, along with Versailles Fire and Rescue and the Darke County Coroner responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office and the Darke County Coroner’s Office.
