TROY — The Miami County Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating consumer fraud complaints against the owners of Trojan Wireless, Metro PCS, and Iron Wireless formerly located at 722 W. Market St., Troy.

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County Sheriff’s Office will be deploying extra deputies through March 18 for St. Patrick’s Day.
Pancake Day to benefit youth
This is a reminder that the Covington Noon Optimist Club will be holding their 56th annual Pancake Day, albeit a drive-thru version this year, this Saturday, March 20. The proceeds of Pancake Day benefit the youth programs of our community, which the Optimist Club supports. Serving hours will be from 7 a.m. to noon and this year’s pancake breakfast will be by donation only; no tickets will be sold at the door or ahead of time. Just have your cash or check donation ready, and a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast will be delivered to your vehicle’s window. It will again be held at the Covington K-8 school building, with folks driving-through the bus loop.
FFA students compete in state FFA evaluations
CASSTOWN — The virtual state FFA evaluations were recently held with several members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter competing in various competitions. Members became eligible for state evaluations by placing at regional evaluations in February.
Man indicted on burglary, kidnapping charges
SIDNEY – A Piqua man was indicted on a charge of aggravated burglary and two charges of kidnapping, each of which are first-degree felonies, by the Shelby County grand jury Thursday, March 11.
