PIQUA — The Piqua football team prepped for the big game with Troy by routing Greenville 49-0 Friday night at Alexander Stadium/Purk Field.

Piqua, 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the MVL, will host the Trojans at 7 p.m. Friday.

Jericho Burns had 169 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries for the Indians.

Caiden Thomas completed 14 of 19 passes for 230 yards.

RayShawn Garrett caught a 63-yard TD pass, Joey Voskuhl caught a 35-yard TD pass, Keaton Bolden caught a 19-yard TD pass and Noah Coleman had four catches for 40 yards.

Gavin Larger was 5-for-6 on PAT kicks and Thomas ran for a two-point conversion.

Jace Weber recovered a fumble for a touchdown and Bolden intercepted a pass.

Owen Shawler had eight tackles and John Hess had seven tackles..

Bethel 23,

Covington 17

COVINGTON — The Bethel football team opened a 23=3 lead and held on for a 23-17 victory Friday night in TRC action.

Bethel, 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the TRC, will play Lehman Catholic at Sidney Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Covington, 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the TRC, will play at Northridge Friday night.

Bucc quarterback Landon Cassel was 8-for-21 passing for 165 yards.

DayLynn Garrett had three catches for 120 yards, including an 80-yard TD pass.

Parker Hoying caught a 10-yard TD pass.

Cassel led the rushing attack with 75 yards on eight carries.

Wyatt Parker kicked a 31-yard field goal and two PATs.

Jack Blumenstock had 14 tackles and Trenton Havenar and Garrett Leistner both had 12 tackles.

Jordan Miller added 11 tackles.

Milton-Union 49,

Troy Christian 0

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union football team opened a 42-0 halftime lead and cruised to a win.

The Bulldogs, 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the TRC, play at Miami East Friday night.

Troy Christian, 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the TRC, will play at Riverside Friday night.

Bradford 12

CAMDEN — The Bradford football team dropped to 0-5 on the season and 0-4 in the WOAC.

The Railroaders will host Dixie Thursday night.

Owen Canan was 5-for-14 passing for 18 yards.

Griffin Trevino scored both touchdowns for Bradford.

He had a 96-yard kickoff return and a 78-yard touchdown run.

Trevino led the rushing attack with seven carries for 86 yards.

Keith Gaines forced a fumble and Colton Spurgeon recovered it.

Canan led the defense with six tackles.
