SIDNEY — The Tippecanoe football team continued down the road towards a week 10 showdown with Xenia.

The Red Devils, 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the MVL, opened a 42-6 halftime lead on Sidney Friday night and that’s the way the game ended.

Tippecanoe will travel to West Carrollton Friday night.

Larkin Thomas completed 13 of 23 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Jackson Davis had four catches for 80 yards and one touchdown and Dylan Herndon had two catches for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Cade Havill had six catches for 50 yards and Xavier Melton caught a 50-yard TD pass from Davis.

Melton also had 121 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.

Owen Baileys kicked six PATs and Collin Isaac and Talen Hoover both had interceptions.

Riley Nicholls had seven tackles and Isaac and Max Howard had six tackles each.

Piqua 44,

West Carrollton 0

PIQUA — The Piqua football team rolled to an easy win Friday night.

The Indians, 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the MVL, will travel to Xenia Friday night.

Joey Voskuhl started the scoring with a 20-yard interception return and the Indians opened a 30-0 lead by halftime.

Jericho Burns had 21 carries for 136 yards and three touchdowns and RayShawn Garrett had a 21-yard TD run.

Caiden Thomas completed eight of 13 passes for 89 yards and Noah Coleman caught an eight-yard TD pass.

Gavin Larger was 5-for-6 on PAT kicks and added a 25-yard field goal.

Keaten Bolden also intercepted a pass and Jace Weber recovered a fumble.

Carson Marrs led the defense with seven tackles.

Lehman Catholic 34

Riverside 18.

DEGRAFF — The Lehman Catholic football team went on the road to stay unbeaten in the TRC.

Lehman, 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the TRC, will host Covington Friday at Sidney Memorial Stadium — with all the Lehman Final Four football teams being honored.

Milton-Union 29,

Covington 7

COVINGTON — Milton-Union went on the road to get a TRC win as well.

The Bulldogs, 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the TRC, will host Bethel, 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the TRC, Friday.

For Covington, Landin Cassel was nine of 23 passing for 82 yards, with two interceptions.

DayLynn Garrett caught seven passes for 63 yards.

Cassel led the rushing attack with 56 yards on 11 carries, including a 21-yard TD run.

Jordan Miller had 44 yards on 16 carries and Wyatt Parker kicked the PAT.

Miller intercepted a pass and had 12 tackles.

Garrett Leistner also had 12 tackles, Filip McMaken had 10, Jack Blumenstock was credited with eight and Trenton Havenar added seven.

Miami East 51,

Troy Christian 0

TROY — Miami East also found the road to its liking in TRC action.

The Vikings, 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the TRC, will host Riverside Friday night.

Troy Christian, 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the TRC, will host Northridge.

Bethel 7

BRANDT — The Bethel football team dropped a TRC game at home Friday night.

The Bees, 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the TRC, play at Milton-Union Friday night.

Miss. Valley 36,

Bradford 6

BRADFORD — The Bradford football team dropped a home game Friday night.

The Railroaders, 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the WOAC, will play at Twin Valley South Friday night.

Owen Canan completed eight of 23 passes for 117 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

His TD pass to Rallie Wirrig — who had two catches for 56 yards — tied the game 6-6 in the second quarter before MV scored 30 unanswered points in the second half.

Isaiah Purpus had two catches for 43 yards and Canan led the rushing attack with seven carries for 56 yards.

Fenix Spurgeon recovered a fumble and Griffin Trevino intercepted a pass.

Canan led the defense with 11 tackles.

Ross Miller had eight tackles and Spurgeon had seven tackles.
