HUBER HEIGHTS — The Troy girls tennis team got a 5-0 win over Wayne Wednesday.

In singles, Nina Short defeated Heidi Lennard 6-2, 6-1; Calista Hicks defeated Geneva Price 6-1, 6-0 and Kimber Connors defeated Marlee Miller 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Izzy Lutz and Maile Romberger defeated Malia Galloway and Ciara Johnson 6-2, 6-1 and Savannah Gibson and Allison Straughn defeated Vanessa Carona and Olivia Woolum 6-0, 6-0.

Troy is 11-3 overall and 4-1 in the MVL.

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic girls tennis team dropped a match Wednesday.

“Charlotte (Spaide) leads our team with 11 wins and is 7-2 in her last nine matches,” Lehman coach Tim Ungericht said. “She is really playing well. Our team is competing well with all the illness that’s been going around the last few weeks. They are a fun bunch to coach.”

In singles, Spaide won 6-1, 7-5; Ashreal Alvarez lost 6-1, 6-3 and Lehman forfeited third singles.

In doubles, Eliza Westerheide and Kyla McGinnis lost 6-1, 6-2 and Dublin Cooper and Kari Pleasant lost 6-3, 6-1.

TROY — The Troy girls tennis team defeated West Carrollton 5-0 Tuesday.

In singles, Nina Short defeated Deja Glover 6-2, 6-1; Calista Hicks defeated Kennedy Steele 7-6 (5), 3-6, 1-0 (6) and Kimber Connors defeated Jordyn Winston 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles, Izzy Lutz and Maile Romberger defeated Kristen Barnett and Brooklyn Kinderlu 6-1, 6-2 and Savannah Gibson and Allison Straughn defeated Andreu Arellano and Kim Nguyen 6-1, 6-3.

In singles, Charlotte Spaide won 6-0, 6-0; Brooklyn Fortkamp won 6-4, 6-3 and Lehman forfeited third singles.

In doubles, Eliza Westerheide and Kyla McGinnis lost 6-4, 6-3 and Kari Pleasant and Dublin Cooper lost 6-0, 6-1.
