TIPP CITY — Tipp City Schools Broadway Elementary and LT Ball Intermediate will continue to be dismissed two hours early on Thursday and Friday. The Friday night football game’s kickoff will also be pushed back due to heat.

Due to the extreme heat, both schools were released early on Tuesday and Wednesday also.

According to a Tipp City School’s Facebook post, the district notes that “due to the continued National Weather Service heat index advisory, students at Broadway Elementary and LT Ball Intermediate will be dismissed two hours early on Thursday, Aug. 29, and Friday, Aug. 30.

“Although LT Ball Intermediate has air conditioning, we need to adjust the schedule for all elementary students due to our bus routes. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Also, as a result of the heat, the district is moving the start of Friday Night’s Tippecanoe High School varsity football game back to an 8 p.m. kickoff.
