PIQUA — The Piqua boys golf team defeated Milton-Union 179-188 Monday.

Piqua’s Hunter Steinke and Blake Walling shared medalist honors with 41.

Other Piqua scores were Lance Lawson 47, Aiden Applegate 50, Evan Clark 50 and Gabe Sloan 55.

Milton-Union golfers were William Coate 45, Keaton Jones 46, Austin Hodkin 47, Landon Ratcliff 50, Hunter Fraley 51 and Brian Wooddell 53.

TROY — The Troy Christian boys soccer team cruised to a TRC win.

Max Barnashin had three goals and one assist and Mikey Berner and Marek Bollinger had two goals and one assist each.

Brennan Hochwalt had two assists and Austin Taylor and Zach Zeman had one assist each.

Karter Denson and Beckham Stewart combined on the shutout with one assist each.

Colin Potts had 16 saves for Lehman Catholic.

Miami East 1

CASSTOWN — The Bethel boys soccer team remained perfect on the season Monday.

“I think Miami East played hard tonight,” Bethel coach Bob Hamlin said. “And they were a tough team to play. You can throw out the records when these two teams play. They made the passing lanes in back hard to find. We generated some good chances, but did not finish as well as we could.

“Part of that was because of the pressure put on by Miami East. They were definitely better than a 1-5 team tonight. Pround of our effort tonight as it is always a hard match in the TRC.”

David Kasimov had two goals and one assist for Bethel and Nick Falkenstein and Reynaldo Morin Rincon had one goal and one assist each.

John Gulaliev and Phil Dix had one assist each.

Baylen Lair scored the Miami East goal.

TROY — A Troy girls soccer team dealing with numerous injuries lost to a strong Waynesville team Monday at Ernst Soccer Stadium.

Persephone Williamson had 16 saves in goal for Troy.

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe girls soccer team got a win in Tipp City City Park Monday.

Brooke Shafer had a hat trick with three goals and Kendall Davis had one goal and one assist.

Julia Burgbacher had two assists, Marin Dakin had one assist and Rachel Vaughn had two saves.

BRANDT — The Bethel girls soccer teaam cruised to a TRC win Monday night.

Brooklyn Riviello had three goals and one assist, Maddie Montgomery had one goal and two assists and Juli Sprague had one goal and one assist.

Victoria Layton had one assist and Brooklyn Saul had 12 saves.

TROY — The Troy girls tennis team got win Monday.

In singles, Nina Short defeated Ally Walls 6-1, 6-2; Calista Hicks defeated Grace Iaocbacci 6-1, 6-0 and Kimber Connors defeated Malala Varicella 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Izzy Lutz and Allison Straughn defeated Megan Hought and Mara Hought 6-1, 6-0 and Savannah Gibson and Mary White defeated Aylin Morgan and Cal Lartz 6-0, 6-0.

LCC 4,

Lehman Catholic 1

LIMA — The Lehman Catholic girls tennis team dropped a match Monday.

“LCC is one of the top DII teams in Northwest Ohio,” Lehman coach Tim Ungericht said. “Our second doubles played very well. Their first and second singles and first doubles are the best at those positions we have faced all year.”

In singles, Charlotte Spaide lost 6-1, 6-0; Brooklyn Fortkamp lost 6-0, 6-0 and Ashreal Alvarez won 5-2, retired.

In doubles, Eliza Westerheide and Kyla McGinnis lost 6-1, 6-0 and Kali Pleasant and Dublin Cooper lost 6-4, 6-4.
