NEW MADISON — The Bradford and Newton boys and girls cross country teams competed in the WOAC meet Saturday.
BOYS
The Newton boys finished second and Bradford finished eighth.
Newton’s top seven included Tanner Long, 6, 17:57.0; Seth Coker, 11, 18:16.4; Garrison Hughes, 14, 18:20.0; Nick Staub, 16, 18:30.1; Colton Shellenberger, 21, 18:52.9; Will Weber, 23, 19:00.9 and Liam Woods, 24, 19:07.6.
Bradford runners included Eli Hoffman, 46, 20:31.8; Lucas Nicholson, 54, 21:04.1; Kyree Roberts, 59, 22:07.1; Brendan Hansen, 60, 22:10.2; Zeb Lavey, 63, 20:14.7 and Stephen Stewart, 64, 22:23.6.
GIRLS
The Newton girls won Saturday.
Michaela Flora led the Indians to the title, winning the race in 19:45.8.
Rounding out the top seven were Claire Stull, 3, 21:30.1; Cole Thompson, 4, 21:45.7; Emily Flora, 6, 22:10.2; Gentri Deaton, 15, 23:17.5; Ellie Bradshaw, 18, 23:44.9 and Evelyn Case, 26, 24:33.8.
Running for Bradford were Emma Lavey, 5, 22:02.3; Savannah Beachler, 21, 24:15.8; Natalie Wood, 28, 24:53.8 and Daphne Lavey, 37, 27:59.1.
