PIQUA — If you’re looking to add a splash of seasonal color and style to your home, look no further than the Piqua-Caldwell Historic District Association’s (PCHDA) Fall Plant Sale on Sept. 7.

A limited number of arboretum-quality mums in assorted colors will be available at the back lot of Winan’s, on the corner of Spring Street and Ash Street to make your selection.

PCHDA’s volunteers look forward to the yearly fundraiser. “It’s great to see people you know stop in. The plant sales do support our activities, said Lotte Weideman, vice president for PCHDA. “But it really gives us a chance to be visible in the community and build ties with those who come by. We talk about what’s going on in the district, in town, everything.”

Only 175 mums will be sold, so you might want to be there right when the sale starts at 9:30 a.m., and at $11 per plant, they’ll go fast! Online ordering is available at www.piquacaldwellhistoricdistrict.org/shop.

In addition to the plant sale, PCHDA also announced more upcoming family-friendly events:

• Architectural Scavenger Hunt: Sunday, Oct. 6.

• Haunted Tours: Friday and Saturday, Oct.18-19.

• Historic Holiday Tour: Saturday, Dec. 14.

The PCHDA was founded in 2017 and acquired its 501(c)3 non-profit designation in 2019, and its focus is on “Preserving our Past for the Future”.
