Max Barnashin had one goal and one assist and Mason Hagstrom and Brennan Hochwalt had one goal each.

Zach Zeman dished out two assists and Karter Denson had seven saves.

Gwen Holbrook scored both Newton goals.

Brynnasen Fiely and Mia Szakal each had one assist.

TROY — The Troy girls tennis team swept a match Thursday to improve to 15-4.

In singles, Nina Short defeated Kalyssa Meisner 61-, 6-1; Calista Hicks defeated Molly Hensel 6-1, 6-0 and Kimber Connors defeated Snaika Dorreus 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Izzy Lutz and Maile Romberger defeated Savanna Vela and Peri Hiller-Friend 6-1, 6-2 and Savannah Gibson and Allison Straughn defeated Olivia Lorenson and Greta Gulvas 6-0, 6-0.

TROY —The Troy volleyball team defeated Greenville 26-24, 25-17, 18-25, 25-22 Thursday.

Sydney Astor had eight kills, Noel Baker added six kills, Sophie Michalos had six kills and Reagan Duff had five kills.

Kayla Huber had 16 assists and Julia Kirner dished out 13 assists.

Cema Rajab had four aces and nine digs, Livi Luciano had 11 digs and Lauren Koesters added 10 digs.

XENIA — The Tippecanoe volleyball team picked up a 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 win on the road Thursday.

“Team started slow, but eventually got into gear from the offensive end in the first set,” Tippecanoe coach Howard Garcia said. “Second set, we had a very good service run, combined with a consistent middle attack and the third set, it was all about consistent serving and very few errors. Team was still playing great defense and going after everything while staying under control.”

Savannah Clawson had seven kills, six aces and nine digs, Morgan Sessions had seven kills and Courtney Post added six kills.

Jenna Krimm had 21 assists and four aces and Bri Morris added eight assists.

Faith Siefring had 12 digs and Emily Aselage added 10 digs.

COVINGTON — The Covington volleyball team remained perfect in TRC play with a 16-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-4 win Thursday night.

For Covington, Hollan Koffer had 11 kills and 13 digs, Dakohta Kenworthy had 10 kills and Mazelle Reck added five kills.

Taylor Kirker filled out the stat sheet with 18 assists, seven aces, 12 digs and three blocks and Addison Ventura had 12 assists, 10 digs and three aces.

Ramse Vanderhorst had 22 digs, Nell Rogers had nine digs and Ava Hartwig added three blocks.

For Troy Christian, Chloe Simmons had nine kills, nine digs and three aces, Maddie Fourman had eight kills and Jenna Borton added six kills.

Taylor Bechtol had 21 assists and 10 digs, Olivia Simmons had 14 digs and Reign Wilkins added 13 digs.

DEGRAFF — The Bethel volleyball team got a 25-16, 25-19, 25-17 win Thursday in TRC action.

Annabelle Adams had 12 kills, three aces and eight digs and Kyra Clawson had 14 assists, 14 digs and three aces.

Claire Bailey, Addison Boggs and Jordyn Pham had nine digs each.

BRADFORD — The Bradford volleyball team won 16-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-20 in WOAC action Thursday.

Addysen Mills had eight kills and 10 digs and Lilly Canan added four kills and 12 digs.

Chloe Hocker had 16 assists and 11 digs, Ryleigh Dotson had 11 digs, Hayven Evans had nine digs and Kaylin Richard added seven digs.
