To the editor:

As a retired Command level Police Officer with 26 years of service, I was ashamed to see law enforcement officers standing with Donald Trump in Howell, Michigan. A president who sent his mob to beat Police Officers with American flags and who attempted to stop a legal election does not deserve the respect of American Law Enforcement. He has neither apologized nor taken responsibility for his actions. We should be standing with the Capital Police Officers not with Donald Trump. If Trump was in “business” in Howell or any other community, I don’t believe any Law Enforcement Officer would want to be associated with him and would probably be opening an investigation into his activities.
