SPRINGFIELD — The Troy boys cross country team finished eighth at the Jim Murray Memorial Invitational Saturday.

Troy’s top seven included Elijah Buschur, 17, 16:55.5; Ryan McChesney, 36, 17:33.8; Noah Zink, 40, 17:38.2; Chet Snyder, 46, 17:43.4; Colin Walters, 73, 18:19.5; Gavin Romberger, 74, 18:19.6 and Dylan Arnold, 89, 18:35.6.

Newton Invite

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton boys cross country kept the hardware at home Saturday, winning the Newton Invitational.

Newton’s top seven were Seth Coker, 7, 18:42.6; Tanner Long, 11, 19:04.2; Garrison Hughes, 12, 19:07.3; Nick Staub, 15, 19:29.9; Dylan Bauer, 18, 19:37.0; Liam Woods, 22, 19:53.2; and Will Weber, 27, 20:06.0.

Miami East finished third.

The Vikings top seven included Johnathan Hedrick, 3, 18:13.5; Gunner Weldy, 8, 18:51.2; Landon Moran, 19, 19:37.2; Corbin Farrier, 29, 20:24.6; Coleton Moore, 45, 21:43.6; Tai McAdams, 51, 22:04.5 and Cole Dennis, 60, 21:23.9.

Troy Christian finished sixth.

Eagle runners included Steven Edmonds, 17, 19:34.5; Jacob Pierce, 26, 20:01.3; Landon Patel, 35, 20:46.6; Rhett Baldwin, 54, 22:09.7 and Henry Rupnik, 58, 22:42.0.

Bradford finished seventh.

Railroader runners included Lucas Nicholson, 44, 21:29.1; Eli Hoffman, 47, 21:56.8; Kyree Roberts, 58, 21:58.3; Brenden Hansen, 59, 22:58.3; Stephen Stewart, 61, 23:39.2 and Zeb Lavey, 64, 23:57.6.

Centerville Night Race

CENTERVILLE — The Piqua boys finshed 17th in the Bob Bowman race at the Centerville Night Race Invitational.

Piqua’s top seven included Noah Burgh, 115, 21:36.8; Braden Holtvogt, 116, 21:37.2; Evan Clark, 117, 21:37.2; Brennan Angle, 118, 21:37.3; AJ Burroughs, 119, 21:37.3; Brycen Angle, 120, 21:37.6 and Harvin Bornhorst, 121, 21:37.6.

SPRINGFIELD — The Troy girls cross country team finished sixth at the Jim Murray Memorial Invitational Saturday.

Troy’s top seven included Avyn Spagnola, 14, 21:24.7; Isabel Westerheide, 19, 21:36.7; Kaylee Strayer, 43, 22:32.9; Ruby Zimmerman, 53, 22:54.2; McKenna Lynch, 54, 23:00.5; Peyton Scott, 57, 23:13.8 and Kennedy Harlamert, 71, 23:42.3.

Newton Invite

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton girls cross country completed the Indian sweep at the Newton Invitational Saturday, winning the team title.

Michaela Flora led the Indians to victory, winning the race in 20:38.2.

The rest of Newton’s top seven included Claire Stull, 4, 23:15.3; Cole Thompson, 7, 23:33.1; Emily Flora, 12, 24:10.8; Gentri Deaton, 20, 24:43.4; Ellie Bradshaw, 24, 25:31.7 and Evelyn Case, 27, 26:05.7.

Miami East finished second.

The Vikings top seven included Tessa Kress, 3, 22:50.1; Grace Shively, 8, 23:36.2; Addy Fine, 13, 24:14.2; Teaghan Kress, 16, 24:32.0; Savannah Pellman, 21, 21:48.0; Keara Stace, 28, 26:11.9 and Isabella Bobillo, 29, 26:33.7.

Troy Christian finished fifth.

Eagle runners included Elizabeth Waltz, 2, 22:31.3; Joy Myers, 25, 25:41.8; Lila Echemann, 26, 25:57.3; Annaliese Erdahl, 37, 30:49.9; Norah Rocke, 44, 32:24.6 and Anna Lee, 45, 32:26.2.

Bradford runners included Emma Lavey, 11, 23:50.4; Natalie Wood, 15, 24:30.7; Savannah Beachler, 23, 25:05.7 and Daphne Lavey, 42, 31:22.1.

Centerville Night Race

CENTERVILLE — The Piqua girls cross country team finsihed 24th in the girls Black race at the Centerville Night Races.

Piqua runners included Ashlyn Gearhardt, 67, 24:54.5; Lucy Weiss, 95, 25:46.5; Alyssa York, 159, 27:40.9; Kendall Soto, 160, 27:41.0 and Libby Jane Magoteaux, 161, 27:41.4.
