NEW CARLISLE — The Troy boys basketball team lost to Tecumseh 58-48 Saturday in non-conference action.

Troy led 27-26 at halftime, before Tecumseh rallied in the second half.

Zach King led Troy with 16 points.

Isaac Phillips scored 14 and Noah Davis added 11.

Milton 56,

Piqua 52

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union boys basketball team opened a 21-10 first quarter lead and went on to a win over Piqua.

Blake Brumbaugh had 22 points and three blocked shots for Milton-Union.

Cooper Brown had 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists and Connor Yates had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Landon Bechtel dished out eight assists and Tyler Kress had five.

Dre’Sean Roberts led Piqua with 16 points.

Bryson Roberts and Tanner Kemp both scored 10 points.

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe boys basketball team maintained the overall lead in the MVL and a three-game lead in the Miami Division Saturday night.

Stanley Clyne had 17 points and six rebounds, while Evan Manes also scored 17 points.

Cole Coppock had 14 points and six rebounds, Josh Dietz had nine points and seven rebounds, Gavin Garlitz had six points, four assists and three steals and Liam Poronsky pulled down five rebounds.

Troy Christian 42

TROY — The Troy Christian boys basketball team ran into a buzzsaw when Tri-Village visited Saturday night.

Lucas Day scored 12 points for the Eagles.

Parker Penrod netted 11 and Ben Major added six points.

Alex Free dished out four assists.

Brookville 63,

Newton 60

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton boys basketball team dropped a home non-conference game Saturday night.

The Indians led 47-42 after three quarters, but couldn’t hold on.

Chandler Peters scored 31 points for the Indians and Harold Oburn added 13.

Troy 47

XENIA — The Troy boys basketball team dropped to 6-7 overall and 6-5 in the MVL with a 48-47 loss to Xenia Friday night.

The game was tied 9-9 after one quarter, but Xenia led 27-14 at halftime.

Troy pulled within 35-34 after three quarters.

Isaac Phillips led Troy with 17 points.

Noah Davis and Zach King both scored 12 points.

Milton-Union 84,

Troy Christian 76

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union boys basketball avenged a one-point loss to Troy Christian from earlier this season and handed the Eagles their first TRC loss in a game where the two teams combined for 18 3-point field goals.

Milton is 12-3 overall and 7-2 in the TRC, while Troy Christian is 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the TRC.

Troy Christian led 25-22 after one quarter and 37-36 at halftime.

Milton went in front 60-56 after three quarters.

Cooper Brown had 31 points, six rebounds and three steals and Blake Brumbaugh had 21 points, six assists, six rebounds and two blocked shots.

Connor Yates had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Tyler Kress had seven points, six assists and three steals.

Landon Bechtel had six points and four assists and Ray Copeland grabbed six rebounds.

Parker Penrod had 26 points for Troy Christian.

Ben Major had 11 points and five rebounds and Lucas Day had 11 points and three steals.

Chase Dohme had nine points and seven rebounds and Alex Free had five rebounds.

Lehman 49

SIDNEY — The Miami East boys basketball team rallied in the second half for a win in the TRC Friday night.

The Vikings led 12-8 after one quarter, but trailed 24-18 at halftime.

East pulled within 41-40 after three quarters and finished off the comeback in the fourth quarter.

Jacob Roeth had 26 points for the Vikings.

Wes Enis scored 17 and Connor Apple added six points.

Justin Chapman had 23 points and 11 rebounds for Lehman and A’Zon Steele scored 12 points.

Bethel 63,

Covington 49

COVINGTON — The Bethel boys basketball team picked up a road win in TRC action Friday night.

Casey Keesee had 19 points for Bethel and Mike Halleg added 15 points.

Will Reittinger scored eight points and Jace Houck added six points.

Carter Maxson led Covington with 15 points.

Bryson Hite scored 12, Cam Kirker netted eight points and Britton Miller added seven points.

Tri-Village 109,

Bradford 54

NEW MADISON — The Bradford boys basketball team ran into a buzzsaw on the road Friday night in WOAC action.

Tri-Village led 36-16, 66-28 and 93-43 at the quarter breaks.
