Feb. 11

TRAFFIC: Driver cited for not having a valid driver’s license at East Ash and Manning streets at 7:35 a.m.

SEARCH WARRANT: A search warrant was executed for suspected drug activity on the 200 block of Second Street at 8:33 a.m.

TRAFFIC: Subject was stopped and warned for expired vehicle registration at South Main Street and the bike parth at 8:50 a.m.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Individual reported finding a syringe in front of a residence on the 400 block of Wood Street at 9:54 a.m. Officer responded to the location and collected the syringe.

TRAFFIC: Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration at South Main and East Grant streets at 10:44 a.m. The driver was warned for the violation.

TRAFFIC: Subject stopped and warned for display of license plate violation at South Main and Bridge streets at 11:43 a.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Office responded to a call referencing a fired employee breaking a computer screen and then leaving the business, Burger King at 1408 Covington Ave., at 12:30 p.m. The male subject could not be located, and a warrant was requested. Braxton D. Bridges, 18, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.

TRAFFIC: Officer initiated a traffic stop for a brake light violation on the 200 block of South Wayne Street at 2:06 p.m. The driver was warned for the violation.

UNRULY: Officer dispatched for two juvenile females who had gotten into a fight shortly after getting off the bus on the 1900 block of Covington Avenue at 3:43 p.m.

THEFT: Officer was requested to the 800 block of West Water Street for a reported theft of services at 4:43 p.m. Officer met with a city utility worker at the residence where it was determined the seal on the meter had not been tampered with and it appeared the utility had never been shut off.

THEFT: Police responded to a call referencing a stolen vehicle on the 1500 block of Covington Avenue at 5:08 p.m. No suspect information was known, and the vehicle was entered as stolen.

ACCIDENT: A private property accident was reported at Dragon City, 1598 Covington Ave., at 7:42 p.m. Caller advised he backed into a parked, unoccupied car in the parking lot. He provided his information to me should the owner of the parked car call the police. Caller left his contact information on the windshield of the parked car. No further police action taken.

BURGLARY: Officer dispatched to the 1300 block of Ridgeway Avenue for a burglary complaint at 7:55 p.m. The complainant said her house was broken into while she was on vacation, and some items were taken.

TRAFFIC: A driver was warned for having only one headlight at South College and Young streets at 8:50 p.m.

THEFT: Tire and wheel stolen from a vehicle in the last few days at or near Sunoco, 8855 N. County Road 25A.

SUSPICIOUS: Caller stated a male was stumbling around in the area and throwing items at cars on the 300 block of Wood Street at 11:14 p.m. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the male. No witnesses were located. Nothing suspicious observed.

SEX OFFENSE: A rape was reported on Young Street at 11:38 a.m. Victim was taken to UVMC for a sexual assault kit. Case is pending.
