TROY — The owners of A.M. Scott Distillery and Provisions Co. in downtown Troy have announced plans for a major expansion in 2024, with the opening of two new locations in the Columbus suburbs of Plain City and London sometime this summer.

“We have several award-winning products in our line-up, and it’s taken-off like wildfire,” A.M. Scott Distillery owner Anthony Scott said. “We’re really excited to share our spirits with the Columbus, Plain City and London markets.”

“With all of the growth in Columbus, the towns on the outskirts of it are growing as well,” Chief Marketing Officer Jess Nielson said. “We feel like it’s a good fit for our brand.”

The new Plain City and London locations are both scheduled to open sometime in the summer of 2024, Nielson said.

“We’ve known about the idea for the Plain City location for about a year,” she said. “The London opportunity just came up within the past few months, and we pursued it.”

The Plain City location will feature a cocktail lounge and restaurant serving elevated American fare, located inside a historic clock tower building.

“It was originally an early 1900s hardware store and dry goods store,” Nielson said. “The main portion of the building will be a cocktail lounge and restaurant that will have a Provisions Co. attached to it that will feature the whole A.M. Scott Distillery line of spirits.”

“The main portion of the building will be called The Clocktower by A.M. Scott Distillery,” she said. “We will have a second-floor banquet space in the clock tower, and there will be an interior opening that opens up to the Provisions Co. space.”

“It’s a complete remodel,” Scott said. “We’re trying to keep the original architecture, and updating the inside substantially.”

The new London location is also scheduled to open sometime in the summer of 2024.

“It’s on Main Street,” Nielson said. “It’s right in the heart of London; there’s a lot of development going on.”

In Troy, Provisions Co. is open in the historic Mayflower Theater downtown, and work on the rest of the building is almost complete.

“Construction is rolling along,” Nielson said. “We are fully open at Provisions Co., which is in the southwest corner of the building.”

“For the Mayflower entrance, where people would have traditionally entered to go to the movies, we’re looking at a March opening,” she said. “We’ll ease into that with a couple soft openings; the rooftop bar will come sometime later.”

In December, A.M. Scott Distillery also launched the new Salute to Service line of bourbons, celebrating all six branches of the United States military. The distillery was also recognized recently with three double gold and four gold awards from the John Barleycorn Awards, a prestigious leading spirits competition that honors excellence in the industry.

A.M. Scott spirits can be found in over 60 state of Ohio liquor stores, and more information can be found online at www.scottdistillery.com or www.provisions-co.com.

“We’re going to be releasing rum and tequila, and we’ve got some really cool bourbons and vodkas coming out,” Scott said. “We’re doing a Bloody Mary series with dill pickle, cucumber and pepper vodka.”

“We have a really, really talented team,” he said. “We’ve got some innovative things coming in 2024, and we’re excited to see what it brings.”
