TROY – The vacation of an alleyway, a portion of Cherry Avenue, in Newberry Township was approved by the Miami County Commissioners at their meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
The Newberry Township Trustees approved the vacation of the alley.
At the public hearing held on Thursday, Feb. 23, Paul Huelskamp, Miami County Engineer, stated that during his precursory inspection, the alley is “unused and is not being used for public purpose,” and has “no objection” to the vacation of the alley.
Then, the Commissioners approved the appointment of Lorna Furderer, of New Carlisle, to the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Joint Airport Zoning Board of Appeals. The board appointment is pending approval from the board. If approved, the appointment will last for a term of three years.
