Piqua Junior baseball, softball sign-ups

PIQUA — The Piqua Junior Baseball and Softball League is hosting their annual sign-ups for boys and girls in and around Piqua ranging in ages four to 15.

They offer T-Ball, Baseball, and Softball Divisions. Sign-ups will be held at the Miami Valley Centre Mall, located at 987 E. Ash St., Piqua OH 45356, on Jan. 15 and Jan. 19, as well as Feb. 5, 19, and 26 from noon to 4:30 p.m. They will be in the room next to Finish Line. Come get your t-ball, baseball or softball player signed up and fitted for uniforms.

Cost is only $60 for t-ball and $80 for all other divisions. They currently accept cash and personal checks, as well as credit cards with a minimal usage fee.

Adult music program adds strings; open house slated Jan. 6

DAYTON — The University of Dayton New Horizons Music Program is adding string orchestra to its offerings in 2022. The spring semester will kick off with an open house from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Temple Beth Or, 5275 Marshall Road, in Washington Twp.

Open house guests will be able to meet some members and instructors, try various instruments, register for the spring semester (payment by check or cash only) and listen to music while enjoying light snacks. Masks are required inside Temple Beth Or.

The UD New Horizons Music Program is for adults who have never played an instrument, are rusty after years of not playing, or are seeking to meet and play with others who share their love of music. It is part of the New Horizons International Music Association, in which there are more than 200 programs worldwide.

Line dancing coming to A.B. Graham Memorial Center

CONOVER — A.B. Graham Memorial Center, located at 8025 E. St. Rt. 36 in Conover, will hold line dancing lessons, starting Friday, Jan. 14. Dan Sturgill will be the instructor.

The cost will be $5 per class. The classes will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, and Feb. 4.

Starting with the basics, will increase levels each week. Fun for the whole family!

Registration for TMCS Flag Football starts Jan. 17

TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services’ NFL Flag Football online registration begins Jan. 17 and runs through Mar. 13. There will be two co-ed age groups: Grades K-2 and 3-5. Games are held at Kyle Park in Tipp City. The cost is $80 for residents and $95 for non-residents. The registration fee includes an NFL jersey, flag belt and flags. Late registration will be accepted on a limited basis through March 18 and will include a $10 late fee. Games and practices will be held on Sundays beginning on April 10 and run until March 22.
