Blood drive set

DAYTON — Grace Family Worship Center will host a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17 in the multi-purpose room, 9101 N. County Road, 25-A, Piqua.

There is no deferral or delay in donating blood after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Many necessary pandemic precautions remain in place and continue to impact blood collection, along with the traditional challenges of spring vacations and increased outdoor activities.

Shred day set for May 8

TROY — Minster Bank is sponsoring a free community shred from 8-11 a.m., or until the truck is full, on Saturday, May 8 at the Troy office of Minster Bank, 1280 Experiment Farm Road, Troy.

Shred-it, an on-site document destruction company, will safely dispose of sensitive materials.

Community Shred Day is free and up to five bags of paper will be accepted. Binders, staples and paper clips do not have to be removed. When papers are dropped off at the site, you do not have to leave your car, Shred-it staff will remove the papers and shred them while you watch. The paper is then recycled.
