Vaccine clinics available

TROY — Miami County Public Health will host two open COVID-19 vaccine clinics. Both clinics will be at the new MCPH COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic site located at the Troy Business Park, 880 Arthur Drive, Troy. These clinics will offer the Moderna vaccine to anyone age 18 or older. Those interested in getting a vaccine can walk in during clinic hours or register for an appointment online.

Clinics will be offered on Tuesday, April 27, and Thursday, April 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Blood drive set

PIQUA — “Be the GOAT” by donating at the Piqua Baptist Church community blood drive Thursday, May 6 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at 1402 W. High St., Piqua. Make an appointment at www.DonorTime.com or call (937) 461-3220.

Everyone who registers to donate will get the first of three “Blood Donors are the GOAT — Greatest of All Time” T-shirts. Donors can collect all three by donating three times during the May 3 through Oct. 30 campaign.

The top goal for the GOAT campaign is to prevent a summer blood shortage. There is no deferral or delay in donating blood after receiving any COVID-19 vaccine.

Book sale upcoming

BRADFORD — Bradford Public Library will offer a spring book sale on May 3, 4, 6 and 7 beginning at 10 a.m. Weather permitting, the sale will be held in the parking lot and library lobby. Books will be sold by the bag. Participants can ask staff or volunteers for a bag to fill up and pay as they leave for $1 a bag.
