LOSTCREEK TOWNSHIP — Firefighters from Casstown and Christiansburg were dispatched to a reported barn fire on State Route 55 east of Casstown around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Mutual aide calls immediately went out to Fletcher, Troy, and New Carlisle as first responders reported the barn to be full-engulfed on their arrival at a farm in the 4000 block of East St. Rt. 55.
Among the reported items in the barn was, a least, one vehicle.
Firefighters made a defensive attack on the structure as a tanker relay between the fire scene and a hydrant at St. Rt. 55 and Stonyridge Ave. in Troy kept water available to fight the blaze.
The fire was reported as “knocked down” around 8:15 p.m.
Fire crews cleared the scene just before 10 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
