Bethel Township voters elect new Trustee and Fiscal Officer

BETHEL — Voters in Bethel Township cast their votes and elected a new township trustee and fiscal officer on Nov. 7.

Donald Black, the incumbent faced off against Kama Dick for township trustee. Deborah Watson, the incumbent faced off against Rhonda Ross for fiscal officer.

Township Trustee

Dick defeated Black, and will start a new term on Jan 1. 2024. She received 1,003 votes (51.75%) in narrowly defeating Black who received 935 votes (48.25%)

Fiscal Officer

Ross defeated Watson and will become the new fiscal officer beginning on Apr. 1, 2024.

Ross received 943 votes (52.77%), while Watson received 844 votes (47.23%)

A total of 2,138 ballots were cast out of 3,520 registered voters cast their ballots for the election, which accounted for a was 60.74% voter turnout.

All election results are unofficial until they are certified by the Miami County Board of Elections after Election Day on Nov. 21.
