Book sale set at TMCPL

PIQUA — The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale at the Troy-Miami County Public Library located at 419 W. Main St. in Troy.

In addition to the collection of used books in the bookstore on the lower level, there will be a large selection of additional titles in the community room, also located on the lower level. The sale is open to the public and runs during selected hours on Thursday-Saturday, May 16-18, with a special “members only” preview night on Wednesday, May 15.

The Friends of the Library members are invited to shop during the preview night on May 15 from 4-7 p.m. Renewal or new memberships are available to purchase at the door for $5 a person or $9 a family.

The general public sale begins on Thursday, May 16 from 4-7 p.m. It continues on Friday, May 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and concludes on Saturday, May 18, from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. when all books in the community will be half price.

This special sale is in addition to the used bookstore in the library’s lower level that the Friends of the Library operates weekly on Mondays through Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from all sales are used by the Friends to support and expand literacy and the quality of library services and programs.

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit charitable organization working in partnership with the library through advocacy, volunteerism and fundraising.
