A Voice of Democracy

Owen Via, 18, of Newton Township, recently earned a state title in the annual VFW Voice of Democracy competition for the state of Ohio. Via, a senior at Newton High School, represented VFW Post No. 6557 of Pleasant Hill. He will next compete in the national Voice of Democracy competition. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the date and place are still being determined. Via is the son of Jason and Mandy Via.
