It’s easy to find reasons to complain about the government these days. Well, it never has been all that difficult, but in the past year, complaining has become especially fashionable.

The children have been waiting for weeks, 21 days, to be exact.

Editor’s note: Gloria is taking the week off this week to celebrate the official adoption of her foster children into the Yoder family. This week we are re-running classic ham and cheese soup, perfect for using leftover Easter ham.

Ah, March! we know thou art

I simply forgot how good sunshine feels. You know, those perfect spring days when even a sweater is no longer needed and the sun gently bestows the most gentle rays, relaxing every muscle of your body. Elijah has been begging for me to go outside and play ball with him in the yard. At long last, it’s actually possible; it’s not too muddy, neither is it bone-chilling cold. How can it go from zero to 70 degrees in only a month? I don’t know, but I know that there are no complaints of spring on the way!

March is here—and in my book, that’s sufficient cause for a confident and relieved round of rousing cheers.

A special thanks to you all for your interest and prayers regarding our foster and adoption journey. It certainly has been an eventful one.

For as long as I remember, I’ve been drawn to the youngest children in school. Now I’ve found that when it comes to seeing your own babies go off to school, that only gets multiplied.
