Garber graduates from Ohio Dominican

COLUMBUS — Matthew Garber, of Tipp City, recently graduated from Ohio Domincan University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Mothmiller graduates from UD

DAYTON — Emily J. Mothmiller, of Troy, graduated from the University of Dayton Law School on Friday, May 7, 2021.

Mothmiller earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Dayton in 2017. She is a 2014 graduate of Troy High School.

Mothmiller is the daughter of Craig and Kelly Mothmiller. Her grandparents are Carol and late Frank Hornyak, and the late Robert and Norma Mothmiller.

Local students named to dean’s list

COLUMBUS — Ohio Dominican University recently released its 2021 spring semester dean’s list.

The following local students were named to the list: Paige Boehringer, of Covington; Caitlin Palivec, of Troy; and Ethan Sinning, of Tipp City.

To qualify for the dean’s list, full-time undergraduate students must have achieved a 3.5 GPA or better after taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Zaylskie named to dean’s list

NASHVILLE — Lauren Zaylskie, of Troy, was recently named to the dean’s list at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Zaylskie, daughter of Kevin and Carla Zaylskie, is a junior majoring in neuroscience and Spanish with a minor in child development.

Capital University announces academic lists

BEXLEY — Capital University recently released its president’s, provost’s, and dean’s lists.

The president’s list indicates the highest level of academic distinction. To be named to the list, students must have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.85. Local students named to the list include Angie Broussard, of Tipp City; Darcy Franck, of Tipp City; and Kam Lee, of Piqua.

To be named to the provost’s list, full-time, degree-seeking students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.70 to 3.849. Local student Pedro Garcia, of Troy, was named to the list.

To be named to the dean’s list, full-time, degree-seeking students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.69. Local student Jackson Thee, of West Milton, was named to the list.

Thornburg named to dean’s list

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Graham Thornburg, of Covington, was recently named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University.

To be named to the list, full-time students must have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

University of Evansville announces dean’s list

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Local students Caitlyn Hood, of Tipp City, and Emily Burleson, of Troy, were recently named to the dean’s list at the University of Evansville.

To be named to the list, a student must carry a full academic load of 12 hours or more and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above.

SNHU announces dean’s, president’s lists

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Southern New Hampshire University recently released its dean’s and president’s lists.

To be named to the dean’s list, full-time students must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.500 to 3.699. Local students named to this list include Kaylee Adkins, of Conover; Jaelynne Griffieth, of Troy; and Jordan Vest, of Tipp City.

To be named to the president’s list, full-time students must have achieved a GPA of 3.700 or above. Local students named to the list include Whitney Trump, of Troy; Sydney Jennings, of Tipp City; Wesley Weir, of Tipp City; Madison Foley, of Troy; Michaela Jacobs, of West Milton; Nicholas Brodbeck, of Tipp City; Matthew Purkeypile, of Troy; Emily Ward, of Troy; Laura Griffieth, of Troy; Amber Leftrict, of Troy; and Chad Lee, of Tipp City.
