Siefring honored

Edison State women’s basketball freshman Allison Siefring was recently named OCCAC Player of the Week.

Fittingly, Siefring puts a bow on her dominant campaign for the Chargers by capturing a conference-best sixth player of the week accolade.

She poured in 21 points and corralled 14 rebounds, 10 of which came on the offensive glass. Siefring added on five steals and four assists while committing zero turnovers in 32 minutes played as Edison State topped Lakeland 91-73 to earn a share of the OCCAC regular season title.

Siefring averaged 13.1 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in her first season at Edison State. The Lady Chargers finished the regular season 26-3 overall and 10-1 in the OCCAC.
