Edison State women’s basketball team improves to 22-0

NELSONVILLE — The Edison State Community College women’s basketball team improved to 22-0 with an 82-43 road win over Hocking College Wednesday night.

Edison State led 20-6, 39-18 and 62-32 at the quarter breaks.

Kailah Johnson had 21 points, six rebounds and four assists and Whitney Staggs added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Allison Siefring scored 11 points and four steals and Nia Johnson added eight points.

Rylie McIver and Haleigh Behnken scored six points each and Victoria Newland grabbed nine rebounds.

Edison was 30 of 57 from the floor for 53 percent, including four of 12 on 3-pointers for 33 percent.

The Chargers converted 19 of 25 free throws for 76 percent.

Edison had 43 rebounds, 14 steals and only seven turnovers.
