GREENVILLE — The Piqua football team blew the game open with a 28-point second quarter and cruised to a 49-0 win over Greenville Friday night.

Piqua, 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the MVL, will host Tippecanoe Friday in a battle of MVL unbeatens.

Jasiah Medley opened the games scoring with a 41-yard TD run in the opening quarter and Jackson Trombley kicked the first of seven PATs.

Tanner Kemp started the second quarter explosion with a one-yard TD run, followed by a 66-yard TD pass from Brady Ouhl to Dre’Sean Roberts.

Ouhl ran four yards for a score and the final score of the half was a 33-yard TD pass from Ouhl to Medley.

Piqua added two more scores in the third quarter.

Medley had a 48-yard TD run and Ouhl ran one-yard for a score.

Medley finished with 121 yards on seven carries.

Ouhl completed eight of 10 passes for 186 yards.

Roberts had two catches for 88 yards.

Cory Miller had two catches for 33 yards and Colton Beougher had two catches for 29 yards.

Devon Finley led the defense with nine tackles, while Landon Hare and Kemp both had sacks.

Milton-Union 51,

Covington 0

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union football team improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the TRC with a 51-0 win over Covington Friday night.

Covington dropped to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the TRC.

Milton travels to Bethel Friday, while Covington will host Lehman Catholic.

Nate Morter threw for two TDs for the Bulldogs and ran for one.

He started the scoring with a one-yard TD run and threw a 37-yard TD pass to Ray Copeland and a 55-yard TD pass to Blake Brumbaugh.

Brumbaugh also closed the scoring with a 75-yard TD run.

Michael Elam had a 13-yard TD run, Blake Neumaier had an 18-yard TD run and Jordan Foose added a one-yard TD run.

Mason Grudich made six of seven PAT kicks and added a 30-yard field goal.

Morter completed two of six passes for 93 yards.

Elam had 19 carries for 105 yards, Brumbaugh 87 yards on three carries and Neumaier had 65 yards on three carries.

Connor Yates led the defense with 1.5 sacks.

Jensen Wagoner was five of 11 passing for 34 yards and had 24 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Connor Sindelir led the Buccs defense with 14 tackles.

Wagoner had 10 tackles and Izaiah Sherman added eight.

Troy Christian 21,

Miami East 20

CASSTOWN — The Troy Christian football team rallied in the second half for a 21-20 win over Miami East Friday night in TRC action.

Troy Christian improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the TRC, while Miami East dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the TRC.

Troy Christian will travel to Northridge Thursday, while Miami East will play at Riverside Friday.

Michael Hohenstein returned a fumble on the opening kickoff nine yards for a score and Jaacob Roeth had a 26-yard run in the second quarter. Roeth’s PAT kick made it 14-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Austin Francis had a 62-yard TD run to make it 20-0, before the Eagles scored the games final 21 points.

Jonathan Haddad had a one-yard TD run, Lee Burkett ran six yards for a score and Haddad ran 10 yards for the winning touchdown, with Hunter Williams kicking all three PATs.

Burkett completed four of six passes for 45 yards and had 100 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Haddad and Landon Rich both had 57 yards rushing.

Haddad had an interception and nine tackles to lead the defense.

Chase Brown had nine tackles and Gavin Blore added eight.

For Miami East, Francis had 192 yards rushing on 28 carries.

Northridge 21,

Bethel 0

DAYTON — The Bethel football team lost to Northridge 21-0 Friday night.

Bethel, 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the TRC, will host Milton-Union Friday night.

Will Reittinger was four of seven passing for 25 yards for Bethel and rushed for 104 yards on 14 carries.

Jason Bowen had 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Eli Stratton had seven tackles and one sack and Zeth Bailey had one sack.

Riverside 44,

Lehman Catholic 14

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic football team lost to Riverside 44-14 Friday night.

Lehman, 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the TRC, will play at Covington Friday night.

Donovan O’Leary threw two TD passes for the Cavaliers.

The first was 15 yards to Michael McFarland and the second was 36 yards to Hayden Sever.

Joshua George kicked both PATs.

O’Leary was 11 of 22 passing for 156 yards.

McFarland had six catches for 63 yards, Sever had two catches for 50 yards and Seth Knapke had two catches for 38 yards.

Nathan Sollman had six carries for 55 yards.

John Edwards had 15 tackles and Sever added 14 tackles.

Ethan Stiver had nine and Dylan Karns added six.

Miss. Valley 28,

Bradford 10

UNION CITY —The Bradford football team lost to Mississinawa Valley 28-10 Friday night in WOAC action.

Bradford, 0-7 overall and 0-6 in the WOAC, will host Twin Valley South Friday night.

Landson Wills kicked a 31-yard field goal and Garrett Trevino had a 2-yard touchdown run, with Wills kicking the PAT.

Owen Canan was 6-for-14 passing for 63 yards.

Landon Monnin had four catches for 37 yards, 29 yards rushing on 11 carries and recovered a fumble.

Canan had 13 tackles, Parker Davidson had 12 and Trevino added eight tackles.
