TROY — This spring, CenterPoint Energy (formerly Vectren) will perform gas main upgrades in downtown Troy. Construction is expected to begin near the end of February 2022 and continue until May.

The city is working closely with CenterPoint to limit disruption to downtown residents and businesses. Quadrants will be closed for approximately one week each, and only one quadrant will be closed at any time. Visitors and businesses can expect limited interruptions to sidewalk access, and most businesses will only see their sidewalk blocked during the time that construction is taking place at their address.

Gas service outages are expected to take approximately half a day per service address. A representative from Ritter Construction, the contractor for the project, will reach out to businesses and residents in the coming weeks. The city’s website, www.troyohio.gov, will provide frequent updates and schedule detailing regarding the project.
