TROY — The Troy girls basketball maintained a share of the overall MVL lead and a two-game lead in the Miami Division with a 56-23 win over Xenia Saturday.

Troy is 11-5 overall and 11-1 in the MVL. Sidney is also 11-1 in the MVL.

The Trojans led 16-7, 34-15 and 44-22 at the quarter breaks.

Macie Taylor had 16 points, 14 rebounds and four assists.

Makenzee Maschino had 11 points and Kiyah Baker added 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Brynn Siler had seven points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots and Amyannah Tucker had seven points.

Morgan Kaiser pulled down seven rebounds.

Miami East 44,

Milton-Union 28

CASSTOWN — The Miami East girls basketball team maintained a one-game lead in the TRC.

East is 12-4 overall and 9-1 in the TRC.

Milton is 6-10 overall and 3-7 in the TRC.

Miami East led 8-1, 16-15 and 36-19 at the quarter breaks.

McKayah Musselman had eight points and six rebounds for Miami East.

Jacqueline Kadel had eight points and four steals and Paxton Hunley added eight points and three steals.

Camryn Francis had five rebounds and three steals and Mara Posey and Maryn Gross each had three steals.

Shannon Brumbaugh had 10 points and seven rebounds for Milton-Union.

Ava Berberich had seven points, 14 rebounds and six steals and Kearsyn Robison scored seven points.

Morgan Quisenberry had three steals.

DAYTON — The Covington girls basketball team improved to 13-3 overall and 8-2 in the TRC.

Covington led 14-3, 30-5 and 45-8 at the quarter breaks.

Maggie Anderson scored 13 points, while Claire Fraley had 10 points, three blocked shots and 22 rebounds.

Claudia Harrington had 12 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots and Carlie Besecker had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Gracie Anderson added nine rebounds and five assists.

Troy Christian 43,

Riverside 35

DEGRAFF — The Troy Christian girls basketball team improved to 8-7 overall and 6-4 in the TRC.

The Eagles led-7, 24-14 and 37-22 at the quarter breaks.

Sarah Johnson had 26 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots.

Kathleen Johnson had six points and six rebounds and Brooklyn Lavey had eight rebounds and seven assists.

Jocey Hill and Hope Carroll each had three steals.

Bethel 29,

Lehman 28

BRANDT — The Bethel girls basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter to avoid the upset.

Bethel improved to 13-2 overall and 7-2 in the TRC, while Lehman Catholic dropped to 6-10 overall and 4-6 in the TRC.

The Bees led 8-5 after one quarter and 14-12 at halftime, but Lehman took a 20-18 lead after three quarters.

Karley Moore had 15 points and three steals for Bethel and Maddie Montgomery had five rebounds and three steals.

Newton 42,

Legacy Christian 29

XENIA — The Newton girls basketball team used a big fourth quarter to improve to 7-9 with a road win.

Legacy Christian led 8-4, 13-12 and 21-20 at the quarter breaks, before Newton outscored them 22-9 in the final eight minutes.

Mercedes Craig had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Camryn Gleason scored 10 points and had three steals.

Reese Hess had nine points and four steals and Layla VanCulin added six points and seven rebounds.

Emma Szakal had four steals and three blocked shots.

Bradford 39,

St. Henry 26

ST. HENRY — The Bradford girls basketball team improved to 10-7 with a road win.

Bradford led 7-4, 13-10 and 25-17 at the quarter breaks.

Austy Miller had 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals.

Rylee Canan added 12 points and three steals and Abby Fike had six points and 10 rebounds.

Brooklyn Crickmore grabbed six rebounds.
