TROY — The Troy Christian girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 32-21 victory over Milton-Union Thursday in TRC action.

The Eagles are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in TRC play, while Milton-Union is 1-2 overall and 0-1 in TRC play.

Milton-Union led 4-3 after one quarter and 13-11 at halftime.

Troy Christian took a 22-18 lead after three quarters and pulled away for the win.

Sarah Johnson led the Eagles with 14 points and Brooklyn Lavy added 12.

Ava Berberich had 10 points and six steals for Milton-Union.

Jenna Brumbaugh and Kearsyn Robinson had seven rebounds each, Annie Smith had four steals and Shannon Brumbaugh had three steals.

Miami East 52,

Lehman 11

CASSTOWN — The Miami East girls basketball team cruised to a TRC win.

The Vikings are 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the TRC, while Lehman dropped to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the TRC.

East led 15-0, 41-4 and 47-8 at the quarter breaks.

Abigail Kadel had nine points for Miami East, while Paxton Hunley had eight points and four steals.

Kayly Fetters scored seven points and Jacqueline Kadel and Mara Posey scored six points each.

Logan Phillips grabbed six rebounds, Kennedee Elifritz had four assists and Maryn Gross had four steals.

Layla Platfoot led Lehman with five points.

Bradford 35,

NEW PARIS — The Bradford girls basketball team improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the WOAC.

Bradford led 14-6, 17-14 and 28-22 at the quarter breaks.

Austy Miller had 14 points, 14 rebounds and five assists and Rylee Canan added 12 points, five rebounds and five steals.

Abby Fike scored six points and Brooklyn Crickmore grabbed nine rebounds.

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton girls basketball team evened its record at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the WOC.

Newton led 15-3, 26-6 and 37-10 at the quarter breaks.
